Historic Five Points Fire Station Museum

This 83-year-old building is new again as a fire station museum. The building has been restored to its 1937 heyday and will house a 1937 Arhnens-Fox fire truck that made runs from the station for more than 40 years. Inside you’ll be able to see what it was like to be a firefighter in the 1930s at the station as well as try on firefighter coats and helmets. For the history buffs, there is a plethora of photos, documents, newspaper clippings, run ledgers, and memorabilia on display that tell the history of the fire department in Lafayette. Call for hours.

Indoor 18 hole glow-in-the-dark golf course. Along with mini golf, there are arcade games, glow-in-the-dark air hockey table and ticket redemption games such as See Ball. The entire facility, excluding the bathrooms glows in the dark. While there are monsters all around the course, non of them jump out at you. Music and a DJ keep you entertained. Monster Mini Golf’s hours vary, but it is closed on Mondays.

Wolf Park

Come Howl with the Wolves at Wolf Park! Dedicated to gray wolf research, the park offers a unique opportunity for wildlife education. Learn about the behavior of the main wolf pack as well as the other animals at the park including foxes and the lone coyote. Wolf-bison demonstrations take place on Sundays from May – November at 1 p.m. where wolves are allowed to test a heard of healthy American Bison. Though the bison have little to fear, visitors see how wolves test prey and how bison protect themselves against predators.

Wolf Park is open Tuesday – Sunday afternoons from May to the end of November. Wolf Howl nights are every Saturday night (weather permitting) at 7:30 p.m. and Friday nights from May through November.
