Purdue Grand Prix Race

Go-Kart races on track to the north of Purdue University’s Ross-Ade Stadium.
Other activities during the event include time trials, a bed race and carnival. Held every year in April.

Lafayette Farmers' Market
This outdoor market space on 5th Street between Main and Columbia has been used to sell fresh produce, flowers, crafts and baked goods since the 1830s. Open Tuesday and Saturday mornings and Thursday afternoons.

Sagamore West Farmers' Market
Every Wednesday, 3:00 to 6:30 p.m., at Cumberland Park, off Salisbury Street, West Lafayette.

Downtown Gallery Walk

|

The downtown art scene offers a "Gallery Walk" several times throughout the year. Come stroll from gallery to gallery to view the latest exhibitions and often meet the artists who created them, listen to music, take an evening horse drawn carriage ride and dine at one of our many downtown eateries.
Held Twice a year in Spring and Autumn.

'Round the Fountain Art Fair

One of the best one-day outdoor Art Shows in the Midwest. It features paintings, sculptures, pottery, photography, prints, jewelry and other media. Held on the Courthouse Square in Historic Downtown Lafayette.
Held every year in May.

Hands-on Trucks
|
|

Allows kids to see, feel and touch trucks of all sizes and shapes. Operators of the trucks will be available to talk with visitors about how their vehicles work, what the vehicles are used for as well as what the operators do in their jobs.

This community event highlights food from favorite area restaurants, music, dancing and fireworks. Enjoy the evening on the banks of the Wabash River at Riehle Plaza & the pedestrian bridge.

Held among the stately trees of the Tippecanoe Battlefield Historic Park, this traditional music gathering encourages listening, playing and dancing. Formal stage presentations and informal jam sessions will be enjoyed by all.

The Ninth Street Hill Historic Neighborhood Association celebrates the holiday by decorating The Hill with flags of all periods, bunting, and plenty of red, white and blue.

Downtown Lafayette streets are turned into a basketball tournament for all ages. The Macker Tournament is designed so that anyone can play: male or female, young and old, short and tall, the most experienced or no experience at all.

This 2-day historical reenactment features traditional crafts, goods and life-styles of the 18th century trade period. Held annually on the grounds of historical Fort Ouiatenon on South River Road, four miles outside of West Lafayette.

The holiday season is greeted with costumed characters from Dickens’ novels, carriage rides, live entertainment, food, crafts and demonstrating artisans.

This community tradition has been going on for over 50 years. To start the holiday season...area bands, local floats, clowns, fire engines, police, postal workers and, of course, Santa are welcomed by the crowds along Main Street in downtown Lafayette - West Lafayette.

Held in the beautiful Elliott Hall of Music on the Purdue University campus, this student production to greet the holiday season has been declared one of the outstanding musical presentations in the United States.
