Opening originally in 1979, Nick’s quickly became a landmark in West Lafayette and Lafayette areas. Bands from all over the nation would come to put their show on the areas premier stage. In the early 90s, the legendary music arena was turned into a billiards hall. In the fall of 2006, bands made their first appearance again. Quickly, Nicks has again become the premier room for bands to perform in. Historically bands such as 311, Henry Lee Summers, Lazy Lester, Blind Melon, and Ma Kelley have all received their starts at Nick’s.
